I don't know...Maybe LotRO, just got a card for it. Would like to at least keep in touch with as many of you as possible. Maybe get some forum RP going or something here. (Just a suggestion)

I'm everywhere and nowhere.  Gaming addiction.  Gaming ADD.  But SWG, even though I haven't been around much over the last few years, is home.  Starsider in particular.  Where will we see the next great place to RP?  I don't think that will be for several years.  My money's on World of Darkness Online.  They want you, the social gamer, the roleplayer and they've got White Wolf folks on the payroll.  Doesn't mean it won't totally suck, of course, but seems like the closest thing out there.  CCP folks are smart when it comes to designing sandbox games and player driven gameplay.  White Wolf knows roleplayers.  *crosses fingers*

Meantime?  CoH, STO, LOTRO.  Those are my usual haunts these days except for the whole ADD thing.  So I often forget to play any of them.

I'll probably have to check out TOR.  I can't see how such a structured narrative environment will be healthy for freeform roleplaying but you never know.  And it could be fun.  I like Bioware games in general but...sandbox.  I need my sandbox.  Eve Online...too much PvP for my tastes.  But with walking in stations and the arrival of avatars I might just have to demothball my old Amarr battleship and poke around.  If only to get an idea of what World of Darkness might hold for us.

Oh, SWG.  What a love/hate relationship it's been.  But you made me care.  That's more than the rest of them so far.

GW2 and probably/maybe ToR.

I am done with RP after this. I can't see anyone making another sandbox MMO that would interest me genera wise, and to try to shoehorn RP into a game that is not a sandbox just wouldn't be as fulfilling as it was in SWG.

Nice, Jacka. Yea we're fixing to re-activate our FE Accounts tonight to get things started up there. One of our favorites, and Secret World is definitely a future game for us as well, that game just looks extraordinary!

A bunch of friends and guildies want me to try ToR with them, but the more I read about it, the less it appeals to me. I'll probably borrow a toon on someone's account just to talk to people but I don't see much of a point in playing it, much less paying for it.

Honestly, this has been the only computer/video game that's ever kept my interest beyond 3 days. Ok, aside from Myst, but I beat that in four days with minimal sleep. And I guess several MUDs I was on in college. Most games- even MMO's- are way too limited to hold much appeal for me.

Which leaves... pen and paper RPG's. SWG has given me a very well developed set of planets and ideas, so I can GM if I have to, but I'm hoping to bribe (with cookies and cake) someone else who's played to GM for me. And I've got some local guildies who would be really happy to pick up a tabletop game with their SWG characters.

For certain two planets are in the works for the Emulator Geonosis and Dagobah. Though housing is not live on liberator at this time, it was implemented on Nova along with parts of BE and space is being strung together behind the scenes as well. Progress is being made...If all else there will be a place to visit if your feeling nostalgic :).

Anyone else curious what Smedley was talking about in his massively interview where he says SOE's new secret big project is supposed to be all for Sandbox players?
    Hopefully I will learn more at Fan Faire. As for me.....who knows.....WoW, GW:2, TOR, Playstation 3.....or shit maybe just real life.

I hope they do make something cool. My main concern is that if this game is still in development, it could be a year or more before we actually see it.

Don't look now but CCP just screwed themselves royally. They just kicked their customers in the teeth NGE style with their response to two major issues. If this is how they operate, I want nothing to do with WoD.
