IC/OOC Chat channel: RS under chat tab. This is especially important for visitors so they can see any city wide emotes, such as when the power went out in all of the buildings last night.

Red Sands was founded on a struggle; a struggle that over time has claimed life and limb. When the land was first opened up, Nym saw fit to let the citizens take up arms and drive out any dissidents that resisted them, the city thereby being claimed by those who should rightfully own it. In this, the city was named "Red Sands" to honor the struggle that happened there, and the struggles that continue to take place within the city limits. No longer in favor with Nym, the refueling port has seen better days, and the majority of the buildings are run down and condemned by the lack of repairs. However, despite this,  there is a slight glimmer of hope as activity can plainly be seen in the city center, with a veritable army of rusted droids toiling tirelessly over supply crates and buildings, with sentient workers operating day and night to repair the city to what it once was, and with defenders patrolling the cities furthest reaches, always vigilant and prepared for encroaching invaders or looters.

 The city, however, has come under attack from external forces of late, the defenders managing to drive off the attackers and muster a considerable defense, although the constant effects of the fighting have taken a massive toll on the city itself. The city's leaders now seek to open their doors in hopes that they will be able to acquire direly needed supplies, and that personnel will be attracted to the city to assist with the strenuous task of rebuilding. Even under new management, though, the city's core values remain unchanged. Red Sands, as ever, remains a haven for the ostracized no matter their past, and offers its location as a service - smuggler port, hiding place, refueling station, and “legitimate” city while the city’s leaders profit all the while.

No Open Force Use: With the vast amount of traffic through the busy smuggler post, it would be unwise to openly use the force. Open force use would likely result in immediate death or capture for the nice little bounty on your head. Open force use will attract in character consequences. This is not a "take your force RP elsewhere!" but rather do it somewhere else in the city rather than the open cantina or at least be stealthy about it.
Consent consent consent! We are not here to hinder roleplay but we would like to make sure major actions taken against the town have proper IC justification (blowing up the cantina, raiding the city on a daily basis, etcetera.) Chances are if it makes sense IC then it will be rolled with, just realize that should it constantly happen it may end up driving roleplayers away rather than towards and that is what we are seeking to avoid.
Play nice OOC: We do not expect everyone to get along in city limits but at least be a proper human being. If there is a dispute OOC, handle it like adults. If you can't and it involves the city then contact one of the OOC contacts listed above and we will assist as best we can.

Our doors are now open and we typically have roleplay throughout most of the day.
