Partially fortified former junkyard!

Introduction:

Crusher's Junction is a forest settlement formerly inhabited by members of the swoop gang Afterburn located a few kilometers North East of Tyrena, Corellia. A racing company, a small shipping company, a race track, as well as various other shops once thrived in this little hovel. The settlement is largely autonomous from mainstream Corellian society and is a frequent host to known criminals, outlaws, and a group of Mandalorians.

CorSec and other governmental or law enforcement agencies have little interest in the junkyard nestled in the deep wooded valley largely because it serves a purpose in Tyrena to siphon large populations of the larger city's criminal element into the settlement's borders. If illegal goods trafficking, racing, salvage, speeders, spice, or just a place to feel uneasy: Crusher's Junction may be the locale for you.

Points of Interest:

Crusher's Junction boasts a number of different recreational attractions.
Whether stopping by on a Corellian Run haul or taking the short speeder trip up from Tyrena, there are several recreational attractions in Crusher's Junction.

The Trash Compactor - Bar & Grill

This establishment is owned and operated by Rustbucket Racing Company. It serves a vast variety of local and imported beverages and serves many unique dishes from Doaba Guerfel Oysters to Wookiee Chop. Some reports claim that swoopers from the local gang will periodically interchange glass bottles of speeder oil with exotic sounding liquors on the bar shelf.

A favorite feature of the establishment beyond it's one-of-a-kind atmosphere is the large trash compactor located at the end of the bar. Each time the single trash can in the bar/kitchen is filled, it is ceremoniously dumped into the rickety Trash Compactor and all patrons of the bar present for the duration of the compacting receive a round of the house brew free.

Crusher's Junction Swoop Track

The Swoop Track is only erected during certain events, but those events are usually well publicized and happen frequently. It is always the location of the final race bi-anual semi-pro swoop circuit, the Vengeance Cup Series. Fanfare and ceremony are said to almost cut through the smog of Crusher's Junction's large smoke stacks on days when the races are held.

Government:

Crusher's Junction does not have the appearance of visible governmental entities. The largely abandoned locale has a number of structures openly accessible to the public but others that are strangely well-fortified like the city hall. There does not appear to be any distinguishable signs of how one might contact the Junction leadership. Rumors have it that the leadership finds you in the event of an issue.

Citizenship:

Crusher's Junction is OOCly welcome to new citizens but all house placements must be attained through IC contact with the Junction leadership. If you're interested, OOCly coordinate with Kwade or Oranbega to ensure we can meet at an amicable time.

Notes:

Crusher's Junction is a player city governed by those players within it. If you don't like the way it's governed or the way things have been set up, you don't have to visit. It's very simple and we will be very quick to remind you of this OOCly if it comes to it.

As a basic tenant of our RP at BAJUR and in Crusher's Junction, we prefer to handle things ICly as often as possible. If you have a problem with the way Crusher's Junction is being run, if you feel you've been treated unfairly, if you have a complaint to levy against a citizen or visitor of Crusher's Junction, please try to deal with it IC first.

* Crusher's Junction is a junkyard in the middle of the Corellian deciduous mountain forest. It has a population of around 30 citizens with maybe another 30 added to its population during a race day. 60 people selling drugs or doing other illegal things in a junkyard in the middle of the forest is something we are going to simply claim as unimportant enough to garner interest from CorSec or other governmental forces. If you are looking to RP interest from a governmental force, talk to us about it OOC and we'll see what we can work out. This is metagaming in a very textbook-defined way but we believe it to be in the greater interest of continued roleplay at the city. It is not the policy of BAJUR or Crusher's Junction to metagame in any avenue, please call us on it if it extends beyond this one circumstance so we can discuss it.

This looks really interesting. It's great to see new RP cities on planets that aren't sand, too. Good luck with it, hope I get a reason to stop by soon! :D
