Who is Rustbucket Racing Co?ICly...
Afterburn was a swoop gang based out of Crusher's Junction, Corellia. They made their way in the galaxy hosting races through their legitimate business front of Afterburn Racing Company. They held such events as the Semi-Pro Swoop race entitled the Vengeance Cup Series. Members lived and worked in Crusher's Junction and follow a simple code: Check your sh*t or fear the Afterburn.
After some time a divide grew between the Junkyard King of Crusher's Junction and his "subjects". An illegal and forged sale of the front racing company lead to a revolt of the employees--who made a counter deal with the good people of Rustbucket Salvage on Tatooine. Rustbucket Racing was established as a third subdivision of the company, then comprising of Rustbucket Repairs, Quantum Mechanics, and Rustbucket Racing.
Rustbucket Racing has since seceded from Rustbucket Salvage and is now a fully autonomous organization owning and operating Crusher's Junction on Corellia. They're actively re-purposing the former junkyard to serve as a fueling hub for swoopers and spacers traveling through the Corellian system. Slavery has been eradicated in the settlement and a space station--partially comprised of the salvage from the former junkyard--is well underway.

A fun-loving group of individuals hailing from many different backgrounds in RP and online gaming. Our vent server is abuzz with chatter every night and through collaborative efforts within the Alter Ego Collective: event coordination is a snap. We enjoy hosting as well as attending community events as well as internal ones. With the recent completion of our city we hope to spawn a series of mini-events in the near future.
Where do they operate?Crusher's Junction serves as the main HQ for Rustbucket Racing. The Company HQ is located there, Icarus station orbits above it, the garage where the livelihood of the company is developed and tested, as well as the residencies of many members are located within the confines of the junction.
The members of Rustbucket Racing are free to roam where they please unless called upon for service. A favorite destination of the gang on the outer rim is Tatooine, the birthplace of the group.
Where do you fit in?There are any number of roles that individuals in Afterburn fulfill. First and foremost however, members are family. Racers fix pods and swoops as often as they fly ships and sweat out the manual labor. These archetypes are just to give suggestions to some different methods individuals can fit into the Afterburn family. So take each one with a grain of salt and remember that your character is an individual in the gang, company, and family.

Speed and adrenaline cultivate a daring life in the fast lane, and we think you should ride it along side us! Everyone in Rustbucket rides fast and with the group, but when it comes to races, only those who want to battle it out for the checkered flag toe the line.
The role of a racer within the organization is much more diverse than simply showing up at the track on race day, getting into the vehicle of your choice, and letting the petal hit the metal. It requires honing shooting skills, maintaining the hardware that wins races, helping provide muscle to acquire better parts for one's self and other racers.

Have a knack for speeder/starship parts? Want to function as the backbone of the entire company?
Repairing and working closely with drivers to upgrade and modify existing speeders, pod racers, starships, and other vehicles is an extremely important job.
Some typical tasks a member of the Pit Crew performs are the following:

* Mid-Race Repairs

Afterburn needs to get around. We also need to fund our racing projects when winnings don't cut it. Smuggling is an essential part of the income for Rustbucket and something we need to keep quiet. Quiet but necessary. Beyond that SWOOP races all across the outer rim and mid-rim. Pilots and ship crews are responsible for getting the family where they need to go. Some of their duties include:
